THE PROJECT

Dutch3Design organized a contest in 2013, where the challenge was to design a lamp, which can be 3D printed by consumers themselves, at home.

The lamp must fit in almost all small 3D printers and it should have a maximum dimension of 200 x 200 x 200 mm.

SKETCHES

SECTION

The TULP presents light in a new way.
It consists of two parts, an outer part and an inner part. The inner part gets projected on the outer part because of the construction. There is an interaction between the subtlety of the outer part and complexity of the inner part.
