EON "Nature inspired design"

ELEMENTS OF NATURE

The EoN stands for Elements of Nature. The idea was to look at nature and use elements of it into the design. I used elements as wind, water, sand and dust, cold as in ice and warmth as in the sun. When water seeps in the cracks of the stone, it expands when it freezes at night. When the sun rises the water melts and penetrates deeper into the cracks. At night it freezes again and widens the cracks. When it is very dry sand and dust are blown around the edges of the stone, so they get nice and smooth.

SEARCH FOR IDENTITY

The idea is based on five key words:

Sun - Ice - Drought - Water - Air

This 3D printed hang, wall and table lamp is inspired by nature. Water that falls on the rock will eat the rock away over time. The rain gets frozen at night what will make cracks. These cracks will open more and more. Eventually the cracks are open enough for the wind to get trough. The sand that the wind picks up will sand the rocks rough edges down.
